All parent coaching programs are free and some classes offer completion bonuses and other incentives. 

Early childhood education services and parent coaching is offered by Smart Start Northwest Kansas, operating under the direction of LiveWell Northwest Kansas. LiveWell and Smart Start are located in Colby, Kan., serving the 12 northwestern-most counties in Kansas. Counties in our intervention area include: Cheyenne, Rawlins, Decatur, Norton, Sherman, Thomas, Sheridan, Graham, Wallace, Logan, Gove and Trego. LiveWell is a longstanding advocacy organization that works to improve all aspects of health to better the early childhood system and optimize child and family well-being. For over 40 years, LiveWell has provided preventative educational services and opportunities so people can make a lasting change towards optimal health and happiness.

Under the umbrella of LiveWell are a family of initiatives, including Smart Start, with unique goals and strategies, all striving to achieve the same mission. In addition to Smart Start, LiveWell also oversees the Thomas County Coalition, Thomas County Farmer's Market, Kids Port group childcare centers, and other programs and initiatives.

Smart Start parent coaching classes are meant to help your families of northwest Kansas succeed, and to help children grow and develop in positive, healthy, nurturing environments. All programs and curriculums are based on proven research and are evidence-based.
